Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Strategic Insight Unit. This team supports various improvement, transformation, and change initiatives across the authority. The role involves utilizing diverse analytical methodologies, tools, and products such as lean systems and predictive analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
This demanding role is suited for someone experienced in a complex local authority or similar public sector environment, with a strong understanding of current issues and challenges. Key responsibilities include:
1. Conducting detailed diagnostics, including root cause analysis.
2. Collaborating to generate and evaluate improvement options based on multiple criteria.
3. Analyzing current and forecasted service demand, supply, utilization, performance, and impact.
4. Applying knowledge of complex systems, their structures, inter-relationships, and behaviors.
5. Supporting the development of business cases, and assessing and tracking benefits, risks, issues, and costs.
6. Integrating and interpreting large, complex data sources in various formats.
7. Managing complex stakeholder relationships effectively and empathetically.
8. Working closely with colleagues to foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.
The position is initially a fixed-term 12-month contract, with potential for permanence if a suitable vacancy arises.
