The Role

We're looking for a passionate Senior Data Warehousing Engineer to join our growing Data & Analytics organisation. You'll be part of the Data Warehousing team, working closely with Data Engineering, BI, Data Science and Product Analytics colleagues to shape the future of data at H&B.
About the Role
As a Senior Data Warehousing Engineer, you'll play a key role in building and scaling our data environment. From integrating raw data sources - such as sales, supply chain and clickstream data - to designing data models that enable everything from BI reporting to customer segmentation and content personalisation, your work will directly influence how H&B delivers for our customers.
You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including Amazon Redshift, Matillion and the AWS ecosystem, and you'll be hands-on with SQL, ELT workflows and data modelling. This is an exciting opportunity to make a big impact in a high-growth business, while collaborating across product, tech and business teams.
What You'll Be Doing
* Integrating raw data sources into the H&B data environment
* Building and scaling our data warehouse in Amazon Redshift
* Designing, building and maintaining ELT workflows
* Developing data cubes and applications to support BI, marketing and analytics
* Writing high-quality SQL and ensuring system health across our data stack
* Partnering with product, tech and business teams to deliver impactful projects
* Contributing to the vision, culture and strategy of the Data & Analytics organisation
The Person
* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
* 3-4 years' experience transforming large datasets into analytics and BI solutions (e-commerce experience is a plus)
* Highly advanced SQL skills
* Strong experience with cloud data warehouses (AWS Redshift preferred)
* Experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred)
* A broad technical skillset and eagerness to learn - from Git and Linux to APIs, Docker, NoSQL and serverless tools
* Bonus: experience in data visualisation, analytics or serverless data stacks (Lambda, Kinesis, API Gateway)
* Entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, and a drive to deliver in a fast-paced environment
