Are you passionate about supporting children to reach their unique full potential? We are seeking an exceptional and dynamic Class Teacher to join our inclusive and nurturing school team. In this key role, you'll be at the forefront of shaping a suitable learning environment where high standards and personal growth are promoted. You will need to be supportive of a culture of care, resilience, and support, ensuring individuals feel safe, valued, and empowered to be their best selves.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to meet the National Curriculum requirements, ensuring breadth and balance across all subjects.
2. Identify clear teaching objectives and learning outcomes, with appropriate challenge and high expectations, including setting targets to ensure all children achieve their potential.
3. Adhere to the school's policies and procedures, and ensure they are reflected in daily practice.
4. Maintain good behaviour and discipline among the children, safeguarding their health and safety.
5. Organise and manage groups or individual children, differentiating learning needs to reflect all abilities.
6. Plan opportunities to develop the social, emotional, and cultural aspects of children's learning.
7. Maintain a regular system of monitoring, assessment, record-keeping, and reporting of children's progress, and analyse and interpret relevant school, local, and national data.
8. Maintain and develop class resources, coordinate their deployment, and monitor their effectiveness in meeting class objectives.
9. Prepare appropriate records for the transfer of children.
10. Ensure effective use of support staff within the classroom, including parent helpers.
11. Participate in staff meetings, INSET, and CPD.
12. Lead the development and coordination of a particular area of the curriculum.
13. Communicate and consult with parents over all aspects of their children's education – academic, social, and emotional.
14. Liaise with outside agencies when appropriate.
15. Continue professional development and act on advice and feedback.
Qualifications and Experience:
16. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ECT’s are welcome to apply
17. Proven experience in teaching in a primary school setting
18. Excellent subject and curriculum knowledge
19. Strong behaviour management skills
20. Ability to differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children
