The Opportunity
The Client Liaison Manager acts as the primary point of contact between clients and the video production team, ensuring client objectives are clearly understood, creatively translated and operationally delivered.
The role balances relationship management, communication and expectation-setting with a strong understanding of video production workflows across television, broadcast, digital and PR-led content. Alongside delivery, the role carries shared commercial responsibility - supporting sales growth within existing accounts, identifying new opportunities and contributing to revenue generation through strong client relationships.
The Client Liaison Manager ensures that projects run smoothly, clients feel confident and informed, and creative teams are protected to deliver their best work.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
* Act as the day-to-day lead contact for clients across video projects
* Build trusted, long-term relationships with key client stakeholders
* Understand client objectives, audiences and brand guidelines
* Manage client expectations around scope, timelines, budgets and delivery
* Present ideas, treatments, production plans and final outputs to clients
* Develop a strong understanding of client commercial priorities and identify opportunities to deepen relationships and grow accounts
Briefing & Project Translation
* Translate client briefs into clear production-ready requirements
* Ensure creative, production and editorial teams fully understand client needs
* Act as the bridge between commercial objectives and creative execution
* Identify risks or scope creep early and manage conversations diplomatically
Project Oversight & Coordination
* Work closely with Production Managers, Creative Directors and Account Managers to track progress
* Attend key production meetings, shoot days and edit reviews where required
* Ensure client feedback is captured clearly, consolidated and actioned
* Keep clients informed of progress, changes and delivery timelines
· Obtain most recent and accurate branding and all relevant assets on acceptance of a project
Commercial, Sales & Delivery Responsibility
* Take shared ownership of commercial performance across allocated client accounts
* Support on estimating, proposals and budget discussions
* Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across video formats, platforms and services
* Flag additional scope or change requests and manage approvals
* Work collaboratively with sales and account teams to convert opportunities into confirmed work
* Ensure work is delivered in line with contractual and commercial agreements
* Assist with post-delivery reviews, case studies and client satisfaction feedback
Quality Control & Brand Guardianship
* Ensure content aligns with brand, editorial and broadcast standards
* Act as a final sense check before external client delivery
* Maintain consistency across multiple assets and platforms
* Uphold compliance requirements, approvals and usage rights where relevant
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
* Proven experience in a client-facing role within video, broadcast, TV or PR
* Demonstrable experience supporting sales activity, revenue growth or account expansion
* Strong understanding of video production workflows and terminology
* Experience working with creative and production teams
* Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
* Confident handling client feedback and commercial conversations
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Desirable
* Experience owning or growing client accounts
* Background in PR-led video, news content or branded storytelling
* Experience contributing to pitches, proposals or new business conversations
* Knowledge of broadcast compliance, approvals or editorial processes
* Experience presenting to senior client stakeholders
* Familiarity with social, digital-first and multi-platform content
