Job Description
Agile Masters (so far Scrum Masters) are servant leaders and coaches for an agile team. They help educate the team in agile methods and SAFe, ensuring that the agreed agile process is being followed.
They also help remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
Main Tasks
* Servant leader and coach for agile team; Decision authority about organizational setup in the Team (including resource planning in close collaboration with PO and PFE)
* Ensures agile processes and development process compliance
o Educates the team in agile methods and SAFe
o Responsibility for the agile and lean processes in the team (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, inspect & adapt, effort estimation)
o Observe quality measures of the applied processes and methods
* Eliminates and solves impediments; reinforces team rules; protects the team from uncontrolled expansion of work
* Fosters an environment for high-performing team dynamics and continuous improvement
o Ensures continuous improvement of team Velocity
o Builds a high performance team and supports the Product Field - (PFE) / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to ensure efficiency of the PF/ART
* Facilitates team / scrum meetings, e.g. moderation & organization of daily stand-up, sprint planning, review etc.
* Close cooperation and synchronization with Product Field - / Release Train Head and other Agile Masters (e.g. for estimations, derivations and dependencies between teams)
* Assists the team in preparation for PF/ART activities, including PI planning, System Demos
* Coordinates release and delivery activities for the team and on PF level at least 2 times a year.
* Completes Budget Tracking & Ordering activities for the team
Qualifications
* Academic degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, project management, people management or similar
* Advanced know-how on agile and lean working methods (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, inspect & adapt, OKR) and mindset (e.g. servant /lateral leadership)
* Basic technical understanding (or ability/eagerness) to learn
* Strong team-building, developing, coaching skills
* Excellent understanding of group dynamics
* Problem solving & conflict handling skills
* Very strong moderation & enabling/facilitation skills
* Good process understanding & result-oriented
* Coordination & organization skills
* Strong communication and visualization skills
* Experience in stakeholder management (e.g. with chapter lead, team, PO)
* Strong mindset for continuous improvement & pioneering spirit
* Self-reflection skills
* Strong ability to work in a team (empathy, active listening, offers feedback)

Travel requirements:
Occasionally, depending on project needs, the successful candidate may be required to travel in the UK and internationally, for both customer meetings and technical meetings with Bosch colleagues.
