A fantastic opportunity has arisen to become part of the unique, innovative, warm and welcoming Knowsley MBC Autism Advisory Service. We are seeking four enthusiastic and inspirational teachers who would like to broaden their experience by working with Autistic and neurodiverse children and young people in Knowsley.
The successful candidates will work under the direction of the Autism Advisory Service Manager to be an integral part of an outstanding new team. The successful candidates will show evidence of a career providing high quality education for students with a wide range of needs, including SEND, both academically and socially. We welcome applicants with experience in EYFS, Primary, Secondary, or Post-16 education—specialists in any phase—who are skilled in supporting children through key stages and their transitions.
You will work in partnership with schools, leading engaging CPD and INSET sessions on topics such as autism awareness, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and neurodiversity. Equipping staff with practical tools, visuals, and strategies to create inclusive environments where every child can thrive.
Working directly with teaching teams, you'll model effective approaches, build confidence, and embed strategies that support social communication, emotional regulation, and inclusive teaching. Helping schools make effective changes that lead to big impact.
Collaborating with staff and families, you'll develop tailored strategies for individual pupils. From ideas to support sensory needs to communication scaffolds, you'll help shape support that's responsive, respectful, and rooted in each child's strengths.
