The project: At Hinkley Point C, Mace is providing management services to EDF as they construct the next generation of the UK’s nuclear infrastructure.
The plans involve major construction work, management services, and NEC contract management. Hinkley Point C nuclear plant is set to produce energy that will service about 5 million homes when operational, representing a significant national energy priority.
Responsibilities
* You will be an advocate of Mace's safety-first value and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and project compliance standards.
* You will champion a diverse and inclusive working environment and support the wellbeing of the people you manage.
* Design and implement PMO and Project Controls frameworks and strategies on assigned commissions.
* Support best-in-class service delivery and engage with broader industry bodies to promote Mace.
* Develop expertise in PMO and Project Controls, building internal and external networks (clients, contractors, consultancies, and stakeholders).
* Manage project teams in PMO and project-controls processes, focusing on cost, schedule, change, risk and reporting.
* Support senior PMO stakeholders in influencing long-term development of strategy for a function or business unit.
* Mentor, coach, and develop the project team; network and seek best practices within Mace Group and knowledge hubs.
* Assist with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.
Qualifications
* Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable development.
* Extensive experience in the delivery phase of projects/programmes.
* Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen.
* Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
* Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
* K nowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations shape projects.
