Job Description:
The FIA’s Technical Audit activities have grown to ensure the integrity, transparency, and fairness of F1. As technology expands into all areas of the sport, we are strengthening our expertise in digital and IT domains.
We are looking for a Technical Auditor: Digital & IT to reinforce the segregation between F1 and non-F1 operations among Teams and Power Unit Manufacturers, ensuring compliance with our Technical, Sporting, Operational, and Financial Regulations.
As a Technical Auditor, you will report directly to the Head of Technical Audit.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Define and set out guidance and reporting requirements for IT segregation between F1 and non-F1 activities, including network segregation, access control, information classification and storage, data leakage prevention, and access and transfer logging.
* Monitor, analyze, and audit IT segregation measures through site visits to F1 Teams’ and Power Unit Manufacturers’ facilities, and inspections at races and test events.
* Develop, maintain, and improve auditing and reporting tools and processes to enhance transparency and efficiency.
* Act as liaison with F1 Teams and Power Unit Manufacturers, providing support and responding to queries related to IT segregation and compliance.
* Contribute to developing new regulatory and monitoring strategies, drafting detailed guidance for implementation.
* Work closely with other FIA departments (Technical, Sporting, Operational, Cost Cap) to ensure alignment.
* Stay updated on emerging digital technologies and audit methodologies, proposing improvements to FIA’s processes and regulations.
PROFILE:
* Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
* 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networks, and systems, working in complex environments with bespoke hardware and software.
* Experience in an F1 environment or forensic IT auditing is a plus.
* Fluent in English; knowledge of French, German, Italian, or Japanese is advantageous.
* Strong analytical skills to understand and apply complex regulatory frameworks.
* Data-driven, methodical, detail-oriented, with a focus on fairness.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
* Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
* Willingness to travel.
