We are looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Senior Accounts Assistant to manage weighbridge-related purchasing, supplier invoicing, and site overhead administration, which is central to ensuring accurate data flow, timely payments, and strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
* Weighbridge Purchasing — Accurately process purchases over the weighbridge, ensuring prices, tonnages, and grades match agreed terms. Investigate and resolve discrepancies with internal pricing staff and weighbridge operators.
* Invoice Processing — Liaise with suppliers to obtain correct invoices, enter them into the system promptly, and ensure they are approved for payment without delay.
* Data Accuracy & Reporting — Enter all purchase data accurately and on time. Close tickets in FRED and update multiple spreadsheets used for reporting on quality, pricing, and material grades.
* Overhead Management — Manage site overhead costs, obtain approvals, challenge unexpected charges, and ensure all expenses are recorded correctly.
* Supplier Due Diligence — Complete due diligence checks for new suppliers, collect required documentation, set up accounts in the system, and maintain accurate, compliant records.
About You
* A strong understanding of transactional accounting processes is required.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
* You will be confident using accounting software and Excel.
