Overview
We’re looking for a resourceful, imaginative and bold Midweight UX Designer to join Tesco Labs. As a Midweight UX Designer at the UK’s largest supermarket, you’ll be crafting experiences that help millions of people shop better and help our varied colleague and supplier base work better. You’ll discover opportunities and contribute to intuitive solutions that improve customer shopping journeys and colleague/supplier experiences.
Tesco Labs is the innovation, research and development team within Tesco Technology. This is a special opportunity to work directly with this team day to day. The team leads a dynamic portfolio of technology innovation products, ranging from near-term opportunities with greater certainty to groundbreaking innovations. You’ll understand business objectives and user expectations to craft design solutions, and you’ll become an expert in testing, iterating and improving your work.
Audiences are diverse: 11 million active app users and 360,000 Tesco colleagues globally. You’ll work with UX and UI designers, researchers, UX writers, service designers, data and analytics experts, product managers and developers. A key asset is experience with a digital design system, whether just a pinch or a full journey shaping approach.
Here’s a taste of what you can expect: a role that nurtures personal and career growth, a diverse team, and a hybrid work pattern for strong work/life balance. A benefits package that’s competitive.
