Operations Manager - Onsite
Salary: £37,000 - £42,000
Location: Rugby
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Do you have experience managing the full post-sales process including scheduling, materials, customer aftercare and team coordination?
We're working with a growing local business looking for an Operations Manager to take ownership of everything that happens once the sale is made. You'll keep jobs on track, make sure materials are ordered on time and ensure customers are kept informed from start to finish.
It's a hands-on, varied role where you'll have full oversight of day-to-day operations, working closely with the Director and the wider team to keep everything running smoothly.
What you'll be doing
* Overseeing all post-sales activity, from scheduling jobs and ordering materials to ensuring everything runs to plan.
* Managing team schedules, van availability and site priorities to deliver work on time.
* Monitoring stock levels, equipment checks and material orders to prevent delays.
* Acting as the main contact for clients after the sale, resolving issues, providing updates and ensuring great aftercare.
* Keeping systems such as Tradify up to date with progress notes, invoicing and scheduling.
* Tracking payments, supplier orders and job profitability.
* Supporting the quoting process and analysing conversion trends.
* Working closely with the Sales and Marketing team to align capacity with demand.
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in operations, service delivery or office management, ideally within trades, property or a service-led business.
* Confident scheduling and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent communicator who remains calm under pressure and works well with both clients and colleagues.
* Tech-savvy, with experience using job management or CRM systems (Tradify experience is a bonus).
* A proactive, structured and dependable person who enjoys taking ownership and delivering results.
Why you'll love it
You'll be the central link between customers, the team and the office, making sure everything comes together seamlessly. It's a role where you'll have real autonomy and a chance to make a lasting impact in a supportive, down-to-earth environment.
