An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic Teacher of Design and Technology to join a thriving and well-resourced department within a successful secondary school. This role is ideal for a teacher who can inspire students across Key Stage 3 and deliver Product Design or Engineering at GCSE level. There is also the potential to teach A Level for candidates with the appropriate experience or aspiration.
The Design and Technology department is a key area of the school, with state-of-the-art resources including a dedicated 3D printing suite and modern equipment used extensively in projects from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5. The department is supported by two experienced technicians and operates within two fully equipped D&T blocks with spacious classrooms and ample storage.
Design and Technology is a core subject for all students from Year 7 to Year 11, reflecting its valued role in the curriculum. The subject is popular among students, and the department has a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and collaboration with external partners, including exam boards and educational networks.
The successful candidate will:
