Live in Couple Job in Berkshire
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced couple (House Manager & Groundsman/Handyman) to work for a lovely family at main residence in Berkshire. The couple also own homes in Oxfordshire and South Africia and they travel for work frequently. The main residence is a beautiful 5 bedroom Georgian House with a swimming pool set within 16 acres which includes paddocks, woodlands and lawns. They also have 2 large dogs.
Also employed is a Live in Cleaner and a part time dog walker. Additional gardeners can be employed when required,
The ideal couple would be flexible, proactive, organised and team players. Dog lovers are essential as taking care of the 2 dogs is very important.
Duties:
1. Keeping the house clean and tidy alongside the cleaner
2. Helping with laundry and ironing
3. Food stocking and cupboard stocking
4. Organising cupboards and wardrobe management
5. Shopping and running errands
6. Liaising and supervising contractors
7. Managing and running the house
8. Assisting with packing and unpacking suitcases
9. Care of the dogs, especially when the principals are away
10. Occasional simple food preparation would be a bonus but not essential
11. Assisting if the principals entertain
12. Basic Household PA administration
13. Managing the cleaner and other staff
14. Garden maintenance
15. Handyman jobs such as painting and decorating, minor repairs, basic DIY
16. Looking after a fleet of 16 luxury cars
17. Occasional driving duties
18. Arranging for MOTs and services
19. Security of the estate
20. House and dog sitting when the principals are away
Start: ideally March but flexible for the right couple
Accommodation: 2-bedroom cottage with a small garden. Dogs might be considered.
Working days: Monday to Friday with some occasional weekend work and dog sitting if the principals are away
Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm with breaks
Driving: at least one must be a confident driver
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 gross per annum, dependent on experience
