Overview
IT Technology Planning & Governance Manager with Enterprise Architect Solutions. The client is a leading company in the UK seeking a candidate with at least 10 years of IT technology and governance planning experience, including Enterprise Architect Solutions. The role focuses on technology planning, governance, and maintaining the technology alignment roadmap for Corporate, working closely with senior stakeholders, system owners, and third parties to deliver innovation. The salary range is £90K - £110K + Benefits. The client is based in Central London.
Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day support and management of the core business Applications Portfolio lifecycle across functions such as Finance, Legal, Property, Pensions, Treasury, HR, Business Development, Payroll, and the Corporate Intranet, ensuring delivery of change that is fit for purpose, high quality, reliable, and secure.
* Drive customer-centricity and stakeholder engagement; align application roadmaps with annual technology plans and dependencies across Corp IT / SSC.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to map business capability to solution architecture across the Corporate group.
* Own and develop a technology roadmap to meet application requirements that support wider Company businesses.
* Evaluate potential impacts of moving application workloads to cloud, considering threats and opportunities for Corporate functions.
* Shape, create, and present business cases for high-level initiatives; seek approval, funding, and prioritisation with senior stakeholders.
* Understand capital allocation needs and the overall impact of application change on operating expenditure budgets.
* Align technology roadmaps with annual budget planning and report on the state of the Corporate Application portfolio.
* Provide technical leadership for Corporate initiatives engaging across the Company where corporate applications service wider businesses.
* Address complex business problems with cross-functional process and technology solutions, including Identity and Access Management.
* Document and review IT standards, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; liaise with internal and external audit teams.
* Develop and adapt innovation tools and processes to drive operational excellence within Corporate IT.
* Maintain a consistent and integrated approach to information security and data protection governance in line with audit requirements.
* Leverage governance forums such as User Experience and Architecture to improve services delivered to Corporate functions.
* Manage solution architects, contractors, third parties, and business analysts as needed.
* Technical lead on major system changes and upgrades; manage the development and allocation of solution architects, business analysts, and contract resources.
* Provide support to Corporate functions to optimise their use of corporate applications; vendor management and selection (RFIs/RFPs) where applicable.
Experience & Qualifications
* Significant and relevant progressive IT experience.
* Experience in practical solution planning and technical architecture design (e.g., SaaS, Identity and Access Management).
* Good understanding of emerging technologies and how to shape and leverage them.
* Experience in architecture business capability mapping, data management governance, technology roadmaps, and project delivery lifecycle processes.
* Experience ensuring alignment between corporate business application roadmaps and IT roadmaps.
* Experience in an ITIL service management environment with strong knowledge of business systems or applications within a corporate environment.
* Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills; ability to build relationships across internal and external groups.
* Proven leadership skills with ability to set objectives and deliver services to target.
* Experience in contract management, supplier management, procurement, and vendor selection.
* Experience with systems such as Microsoft Office 365, Dynamics 365, SAP SuccessFactors, Treasury Openlink Findur, CMS, BACs Payment Platforms, Microsoft Power BI, Integration/ETL, Azure Active Directory SSO, and other bespoke applications.
* Experience in business continuity planning and IT disaster recovery planning.
* Ability to create solution and technical application architectures, IT standards, and policies.
* Day-to-day management of the Application Portfolio, its currency, dependencies, and risk.
* Technical leadership on major system changes and upgrades.
* Experience in managing solution architects, business analysts, and contract resources.
* Provide support to Corporate functions to optimise their use of corporate applications.
* Experience in vendor management and selection (RFIs / RFPs).

The client is based in Central London. Salary range: £90,000 – £110,000 plus benefits.
