We are seeking a Technical Assistant to support ISS in achieving its ambition of becoming the world’s greatest service organisation. By delivering expert building maintenance services, this role directly enables our clients to operate efficiently and achieve their objectives. The position will contribute to high-quality service delivery through consistent technical support, maintenance, and effective problem solving.
Job Description
We are looking for someone who will play a key role in empowering colleagues through collaboration and technical expertise. Based primarily at a London site, the Technical Assistant will also support a range of client properties across the business, ensuring safe working practices, asset protection, and service excellence every day.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out fabric-related PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within agreed timeframes.
* Deliver building services maintenance including exterior works, plumbing, mechanical tasks and carpentry-related repairs.
* Undertake external grounds maintenance duties as required.
* Provide callout response for the client in line with the callout rota.
* Perform contractor control duties, including monitoring workmanship and issuing Permits to Work when necessary.
* Ensure all equipment operates to required performance criteria and that surrounding areas meet agreed company standards.
* Represent the company professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Evaluate performance of contracted equipment and ensure appropriate servicing and maintenance are completed.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Experience providing plumbing, carpentry and fabric-related building services maintenance, including fault finding, maintenance and installation.
* Significant previous experience in delivering reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
* Experience working within FM or building services in commercial properties.
* Demonstrated experience working under strict Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
* Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools effectively.
* Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage with employees, contractors and vendors.
