The Role
The Community Mental Health Team are looking to recruit a Band 6 CPN to their team, based in Goldenhill Resource Centre. The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of their own caseload, as well as the management and supervision of trained and untrained staff within the Nursing Team. The post holder will provide comprehensive, specialist nursing care to clients with often complex health and social needs within a defined geographical area.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
This is a permanent post, 36 hours per week. Working Monday‑Thursday from 09:00 am to 16:45 pm and Friday from 09:00 am to 16:30 pm. You will be based at Goldenhill Resource Centre, 199 Dumbarton Road, Clydebank, G81 4XJ.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake comprehensive mental health and risk assessments.
* Develop, implement and review person‑centred care plans to support service users.
* Deliver psychological interventions in line with best practice and NICE guidelines, and administer medication and monitor physical health where required.
* Act as a named nurse for a defined caseload, coordinating care across agencies to ensure continuity and high standards of care.
* Respond to crisis situations and provide increased levels of support when necessary.
* Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff and students.
* Contribute to ongoing service development and quality improvement initiatives.
* Maintain NMC registration and adhere to the NMC Code at all times.
* Participate in clinical audit, reflective practice and continuing professional development activities.
Qualifications
* First level Registered Mental Nurse.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
* Ability to fulfil the main duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description.
* Valid driving licence.
