The School of Design is seeking a highly capable and driven Digital Design (including Adobe Creative Cloud) & Audio Video Technician to bolster our media design and audio visual capabilities across the School of Design, University of Leeds. As design education continues to evolve, digital content and AV creation have occupied an integral role in our students’ academic journeys—from studio-based experimentation to professional portfolio development, exhibitons, and online dissemination.
This is a dynamic role in which you will contribute to Digital Design and AV capabilities, offering technical support to students and academic staff across a variety of environments including workshops, tutorials, events, and digital outreach activities. The successful candidate will therefore supportthe School of Design in expanding the use of Adobe Creative Cloud for learning, and equally manage, maintain, and deliver AV training, support, and services. You should therefore possess both a creative flair for digital design and media, and strong technical acuity.
The ideal candidate will additionally possess excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across academic and professional services stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing Adobe CC technical training and support, including supporting students and staff with learning and preparing graphics, video, motion assets, digital prototyping, and overseeing AV setups for various events including Degree Shows, Gallery Performances, and Student Projects. The role thus requires a professional approach with the ability to reliably deliver high-quality digital media and AV technical support.
