Youwill work as part of the leadership team and report directlyto the Head Teacher for this crucial role. You will have theopportunity to collaborate with other members of the WitherslackGroup team in different locations to enable you to progress anddevelop your skills and knowledge.
As a DesignatedSafeguarding Lead you will take responsibility for safeguardingwithin the school, this means that on a daily basis you will beliaising with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents/carersand staff on matters of wellbeing, child protection andsafeguarding and will be a great source of support, advice andexpertise in theteam.

As well ashaving at least 3 years' experience in a Designated SafeguardingLead role, we are specifically looking for candidates who haveexperience as a DSL in a secondary or through-schoolsetting. Alternatively, we would consider a Deputy DSL (DDSL) froma secondary or through-school setting who is ready to stepup.
You will alsoneed:
- Comprehensiveportfolio of CPD related to Safeguarding and ChildProtection.
- Outstandinginterpersonal and problem resolutionskills.
- A genuinelyempathetic approach is alsoessential
- Full UK drivinglicence
