Overview
Production Associate (12 Month Fixed Term Contract) – Glenrothes, Scotland. Start dates: 13 October 2025 or 24 November 2025. On-site role with Raytheon UK Manufacturing Production team, producing high quality electronic products for the Aerospace and Defence industry.

Position details
Role type: Full-time, 12 month fixed term contract. Start date: Mon 13 October 2025 or Mon 24 November 2025. Shifts: Day and Night shifts available (please state preference during application). Training: first 5 weeks at Glenrothes. Travel: some occasional travel to Livingston may be required for business requirements.
What you'll do
* Soldering
* Mechanical and wiring assembly
* Follow quality and health and safety guidelines
* Follow instructions for technical tasks
* Kit preparation
* Bonding and coating
* Test assemblies using specialist equipment
* Computer skills for admin tasks
* BPSS baseline background check if offered a role (permanent UK residency is required for the checks)
This role is on-site in a factory, lab or manufacturing cell environment using a range of electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and a microscope.
Shifts
Shifts after training: Day shift 07:30–17:18 Mon-Wed, 07:30–17:06 Thu; Night shift 10:00–07:00 Mon-Wed, 09:30–07:00 Thu. Training shifts will be similar times adjusted to the training schedule.
Interview and assessments
Interview assessments will be held at Glenrothes site (usually 3–4 hours, Mon to Thu). Applicants may be asked to provide availability for Mon–Thu interviews if selected for screening. Interviews to be held in August/September. Assessments do not take place on Friday.
* Eye test (including colour blindness test)
* Skills test following instructions and health and safety guidance
* Interview: be prepared to explain why you have applied, with relevant skills and examples
* It is essential to pass all three assessments on the day
Role suitability: This role is suitable for candidates from a technical background or those with factory/manufacturing/engineering experience, including Higher Education graduates seeking a career in manufacturing.
