You’ll lead a talented Technology team and play a key role in our Senior Management Team, influencing organisation wide strategy and helping deliver our Corporate Plan.
What you’ll lead
As our Head of Technology, you will:
Set the Vision
* Define and deliver a bold Technology Strategy aligned with our priorities.
* Shape a secure, scalable, cloud first technology landscape.
Drive Technical Excellence
* Oversee platforms, applications and system optimisation.
* Embed digital, data and technology considerations into major programmes including transformation initiatives.
Provide Strategic Leadership
* Act as chief technical adviser to senior leaders, directors and elected members.
* Bring innovation into everyday practice, promoting emerging technologies and continuous improvement.
Strengthen Governance & Value
* Ensure compliance with legislation, policy and best practice.
Lead Finance & Partnerships
* Lead financial planning, supplier management and value for money service delivery.
* Collaborate locally, regionally and nationally, driving shared services and partnership working.
* Champion digital inclusion, sustainability and outcomes that benefit all communities.
About you
* Proven success in delivering organisation wide technology strategies.
* Expertise in cloud technologies, cybersecurity, data governance and agile practice.
* Strong leadership capability with experience managing large budgets and complex programmes.
* Ability to co-design solutions with users and non-technical stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to operate confidently at all levels.
* A strategic mindset with a passion for innovation, service improvement and public value.
* Level 6 qualification in IT or equivalent senior experience required.
