Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. You will supervise junior staff, assist with the development and implementation of care plans, and ensure that all residents receive the support they need to maintain their dignity and quality of life. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for senior care.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and support junior care staff in daily activities and tasks.
* Assist in the development, implementation, and review of individual care plans for residents.
* Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
* Ensure that the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care.
* Drive initiatives that promote resident engagement and well-being through various activities.
Experience
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a care home or senior care environment is essential.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Strong IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to care plans.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
* A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to seniors is crucial for success in this role.
