Technical Shop Floor Support (Production Engineer)
Carbon60 is seeking a skilled Technical Shop Floor Support to join their industry-leading aerospace client’s production team in Broughton. As a key member of the production department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's manufacturing processes.
Your responsibilities will include providing technical support and expertise to the production team, identifying and resolving technical issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes. You will work closely with the production team to analyze and solve problems, providing valuable insights to enhance overall productivity and quality.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. You should have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. A thorough understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety protocols is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
* Supporting the production team by providing technical support to identify, analyze, and resolve issues
* Utilizing available resources and knowledge to enable continuous production
* Contributing to Operational Excellence targets through continuous process improvements
* Providing technical analysis and documentation for assembly anomalies, non-conformities, and equipment issues
* Managing work orders, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
* Supporting the identification of issues beyond the Front Line Manager and escalating support as needed
Skills and Experience:
* Manufacturing, aviation, lineside, or production experience (desirable)
* Experience with non-conformities, assembly anomalies, design query notes, and shopfloor health and safety
* Strong understanding of production/manufacturing environments
* Computer literacy
About the role:
* Double Day Shift Pattern (20% uplift)
* Alternating weeks of morning and afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday
* Mornings: 6:00am – 1:10pm
* Afternoons: 1:30pm – 8:40pm
