Head of FP&A Transformation Reporting - 2 year FTC The Team Reporting to the Director of Global Financial Reporting Strategy, The Head of FP&A Reporting Transformation will work closely with the Director of FP&A Transformation as a major stakeholder in delivering the overall FP&A Transformation programme. This role will work closely with two key streams of work within the finance transformation programme. The FP&A Transformation pillar (along with Process & Reporting) is responsible for the designing of new global processes and delivering on our Reporting Principles as agreed within the Polaris Governance framework and as a US-listed organization. The System & Data pillar is responsible for the design, build and testing of the new technology solution, including both core accounting modules and the Financial Information Model including chart of accounts. The S&D pillar is also responsible for Strategic and Management Reporting both in Group Accounting & Reporting and FP&A across Group and Divisions. What you’ll do Lead process design workshops for the FP&A transformation layer, applying expertise in group consolidations, financial reporting packages, chart of accounts, and complex multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction structures (US GAAP, IFRS, local GAAP, primary/secondary ledgers). Participate in FP&A reporting process design workshops to understand aggregation across Group and Divisions in line with Polaris Finance Reporting Principles. Identify design, scope, architecture and data model risks across global processes and upstream financial data sources (internal systems and outsourced providers). Identify automation opportunities using Oracle and third-party tools, applying the “adopt, not adapt” finance transformation principle. Provide strategic recommendations to optimise the solution and global processes, including accelerating M&A integration into FP&A reporting and critical metrics. Collaborate with Process SMEs across Reporting, Processes and FP&A Transformation to deliver standardised, US GAAP-compliant reporting aligned to agreed principles (e.g. standardisation, consistency, tools rationalisation). Translate technical accounting and external reporting requirements into clear functional requirements for system and data design teams. Communicate solution design, benefits and limitations to senior internal partners including FP&A leadership, CFOs and transformation directors. Partner with Group and Divisional interested parties (External Reporting, FP&A, Controllers, Tax, Treasury) to align consolidation and FP&A reporting design. Identify and mitigate reporting challenges during parallel run of old and new systems (2026–2028) across staggered brand migrations. Prepare briefing materials for transformation internal partners and external auditors as required. Develop training and support for US GAAP and FP&A reporting, incorporating feedback from each deployment wave into technology and process design. Informally lead Process SMEs by developing standard tools, templates and methodologies to build a cohesive global FP&A design community. Experience required Excellent technical accounting skills in FP&A as well as both US GAAP and IFRS Excellent ability to operate at both the organization-wide level and at the detailed transaction level, as well as all the levels in between Strong ability to clearly and concisely translate technical information into easily understood analysis or requirements. A curious outlook that can develop greenfield solutions from first principles. An ability to be open-minded about how a solution is designed, critically assessing the advantages and disadvantages of multiple solutions instead of defaulting immediately to one preferred design. Excellent leadership skills, with particular focus on persuasion, absorbing lots of detailed information in areas with limited personal experience, and being able to make and recommend highly impactful decisions. How you’ll do it Qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience in a FP&A reporting industry role Experience of operating in a US listed company environment, including with internal controls over reporting requirements Multiple experiences of significant finance transformation activities, or similar projects where crafting and building of innovative new solutions from the bottom-up was required. Experience of US GAAP is advantageous, but not essential. Experience of betting, gaming or online entertainment businesses is advantageous, but not essential. Experience of Oracle Fusion is advantageous, but not essential.
