**** Calling all Berkshire-based Construction Project Managers ****
Our boutique project management consultancy client, based in Berkshire, is expanding as their business continues to grow! They are immediately looking to hire a competent Construction Project Manager to support retail asset projects and university estate capital projects. Their current portfolio includes retail asset management projects (cut and carve, tenant agreements), a large retail park scheme (80+ retail units), and various university capital projects.
Supported by an Associate Director, you will be a key member of their close-knit team, contributing both commercially and culturally. Your main role will be to manage projects independently according to your experience, typically involving 'cut & carve', strip outs, and remodelling projects, while supporting senior colleagues on larger schemes and developing your skills as part of ongoing CPD.
Projects are located across the UK, mainly in the Southeast and Midlands. Candidates must be able to drive, own a vehicle, and be within an hour's commute of Newbury.
Key Duties:
* Work closely with colleagues to understand project briefs and requirements.
* Manage and lead smaller projects (£0.5m to £2m) and support larger projects (£20m+).
* Collaborate with all stakeholders.
* Prepare construction and development budgets.
* Provide regular reports on expenditure against budgets.
* Develop programmes for monitoring purposes.
Successful applicant requirements:
* Must have full UK working eligibility (no sponsorship support).
* MAPM, MRICS, or close to Chartership.
* BSc in Surveying, Construction Project Management, Engineering, or Architecture (preferably with RICS accreditation).
* 18-24 months of full-time UK property consultancy experience.
* Understanding of project/development cost control principles.
* Knowledge of project programmes and critical paths.
Soft skills:
* Effective communicator with enthusiasm.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Owns a car and can drive (relocation not supported).
The package includes a salary of £42,500 - £55,000 (dependent on experience), 5% pension, 28 days paid holiday, discretionary bonus, and one professional subscription.
