Salary: £120 - £250 per day (depending on experience)

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join a high-achieving and forward-thinking grammar school located in Medway. The selected Design Technology Teacher will be responsible for delivering dynamic DT lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring students to develop their practical skills, creativity, and understanding of design principles.
The school is a highly successful selective grammar school with a strong reputation for academic excellence and a supportive, nurturing environment. The school boasts excellent Design Technology facilities, including well-equipped workshops, CAD software, and 3D printing resources. The successful Design Technology Teacher will join a creative and collaborative department dedicated to fostering innovation and technical skill development in all students.
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will be expected to:
Plan and deliver engaging, practical Design Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Teach a range of DT disciplines, including resistant materials, product design, and CAD/CAM techniques.
Develop students' understanding of design processes, health and safety practices, and material properties.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
Contribute to the development of the DT curriculum and maintain workshop resources and equipment.
To be considered for this Design Technology Teacher role, the candidate must:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Design Technology.
Have experience teaching Design Technology at secondary school level, including Key Stage 4.
Possess strong subject knowledge and practical skills across a range of DT disciplines.
Have the right to work in the UK.
