Transport planner

We've got a fantastic opportunity for a Planner to join the Transport Team at our Gadbrook Distribution Centre.

Reporting to the Planning Manager you will be responsible for producing individual Driver schedules that will implement the overall Transport plan for the operation.

Here at Morrisons our Transport Planners do the following:
* Ensure all deliveries and collections are in line with planned requirements.
* Provide problem solving guidance on any operational issues such as late changes to plans and compliance with policies and procedures
* Plan and manage resources to deliver a cost effective delivery service.
* Produce individual plans for particular drivers within an overall plan.
* Analyse the plan against actual schedules to understand areas of improvement.
* Maintain compliance and conformance for safe working practices and working time regulations.
* Ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times.
* Ensure the completion of all associated records and reports and highlight any inaccuracies, issues or complaints
* Proactively identify opportunities for improved operational efficiencies
* Organising shunters and ensuring that vehicles and trailers are available when needed.
About you
To be successful you should have excellent communication and analytical skills and experience of producing reports.
