After completing a paid two-week induction, you’ll have access to available Driving and on-site escorting shifts at Thornford Park.
There is no minimum number of hours you’re required to work, though it is recommended to work as often as you can to ensure your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service is retained.
Whether your experience is from the NHS or private sector, you can join the maintenance team with an hourly rate that includes a 12.07% uplift to cover annual leave, plus access to a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free parking, and more.
As a Bank Driver you will be:
1. Driving patients and staff to various locations, ensuring journeys are completed safely and promptly, using the most efficient routes.
2. Driving staff and visitors to/from the unit as required by the Line Manager. Collecting and delivering consumables or assets for the Unit during periods of the day when not involved in other activities.
3. Ensuring hospital vehicles are regularly cleaned, correctly maintained, and any damage or faults are addressed immediately.
4. Keeping vehicles fuelled at all times and maintaining accurate records available upon request.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A clean full UK driving licence.

Where you will be working:
Location: Thornford Park, Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 8ET
You will work at Thornford Park, which comprises medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats. The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized assessment and treatment programs for males with mental illness, complex care needs, and personality disorders. Service users may have histories of offending and/or previous placement failures.
