This is a hands‑on role at the centre of the business. You'll support new customer account setup, manage weekly and monthly billing activity, and take ownership of credit control processes to help keep cash flow running smoothly. You'll work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve queries, solve problems, and ensure everything adds up.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...
Credit Control & Debt Management
* Take ownership of debt management from invoice issue through to resolution
* Proactively chase overdue invoices by phone and email in line with agreed credit terms
* Manage disputes and billing queries, working with sales, provisioning, and customer support to resolve issues
* Agree and monitor payment plans where required
* Escalate high‑risk or long‑outstanding debt in line with internal procedures, including referral to third‑party debt collection where appropriate
Customer Account Setup & Billing
* Set up new B2B customer accounts with the correct billing profiles, tariffs, contract terms, and invoicing schedules
* Maintain and update customer account details throughout the contract lifecycle
* Produce and manage weekly billing runs, ensuring accuracy and completeness
* Review billing data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues before invoice release
* Issue invoices, credit notes, and billing adjustments in line with company processes
Payments & Cash Allocation
* Manage weekly payments for customer credits from start to finish
* Investigate and resolve unallocated or misapplied payments
* Assist with customer account reconciliations
Reporting & Compliance
* Produce aged debt reports
* Maintain accurate records of customer communications and actions taken
* Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and credit policies
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR...
* Previous experience in a billing and/or credit control role (ideally in a B2B environment)
* Strong understanding of end-to-end debt management
* Confident communicator with experience dealing directly with business customers
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Competent user of Excel and accounting systems
* Experience in telecoms, utilities, or subscription / contract-based services
* Familiarity with recurring billing models and usage-based billing
