Job Description Purpose of the role To develop and manage the success of specific financial products and services, providing in-depth expertise on a particular product line, bridging the gap between product development, marketing, sales, and customer service. Accountabilities Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance. Identification of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings. Response to customer inquiries, resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage.. Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers, building trust and encouraging adoption. Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product, such as brochures, presentations, and online content. Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge and expertise with colleagues and other stakeholders. Participation in events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to showcase the product and generate interest. Join us as a Senior Payments Product Manager within our Global Payments & FX Product. This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and manage products end-to-end, generating sustainable returns by helping clients achieve their business goals effectively. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of critical payment services to corporate clients. Within Global Payments & FX Product, the SEPA Payment Product Team manages SEPA in the UK & across Europe. We are leveraging SEPA payment solutions to deliver market leading propositions for our clients. ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ The role is an opportunity to own and shape the delivery of a critical service to Corporate clients. To design, build and manage products on an E2E basis that generate sustainable returns by helping clients to achieve their business ambitions in the right way – such as making their banking easier and enabling their business to grow. The role will focus on managing the SEPA payments product set, which enables our clients to make Euro payments an Direct Debit collections across 36 countries. Working with Senior Product Managers, Cash Sales and Coverage to identify client, market and innovation opportunities, the role holder will have the opportunity to shape strategy and define plans for realising new commercial opportunities as relevant. The role holder will also be responsible for; working with technology and operational teams, using MI and KPIs to identify process inefficiencies and control gaps, working with relevant areas of the bank to improve efficiencies and the control environment, defining the commercial objectives and driving them to conclusion to support the business strategy. This involves: Driving product delivery in close collaboration with key stakeholders Working with technology, operations, legal, compliance, financial crime to ensure the solution meets the needs of our clients. Identifying client, market, and innovation opportunities in collaboration with other Senior Product Managers, Cash Sales, and Coverage. Defining and achieving commercial objectives to align with business strategies. Shaping strategy and defining plans to realise new commercial opportunities. Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications Experience in the payments industry with an understanding of payment products, platforms and industry standards. Proven ability to own and deliver projects and initiatives. Track record of identifying and implementing improvements in processes, products, or services. Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a regulated environment with strong attention to detail. Knowledge of business disciplines, including Compliance, Operations, Service, Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Risk. Broad understanding of product lifecycle management. Familiarity with financial services products and specifically in domestic and cross border payments across Europe.
