As part of SuperCare's first EBD/SEMH home, the Senior Day Coach role is about being a source of expertise and steadiness. You'll be right alongside the young people - helping them navigate risks, encouraging positive routines, and being a listening ear when they want to talk about difficult parts of their past. You'll also play a vital role for your colleagues, modelling safe practice when it comes to self-harm, missing-from-home risks, or tough conversations about exploitation and trauma. You won't lead shifts, but you'll provide expertise and guidance to newer staff when the day gets challenging. What You'll Do: You'll balance frontline care with mentoring others: Support young people who are vulnerable to self-harm, going missing, or online exploitation. Encourage routines around eating, hygiene, and daily activities. Listen and respond appropriately when young people talk about past trauma. Share your expertise in ligature awareness, safeguarding, and missing procedures with junior staff. Model safe, calm, and professional responses during incidents. Drive young people to activities and appointments (full UK licence required). What We're Looking For: We're looking for people with both resilience and expertise: Experience in self-harm, exploitation, or missing-from-home risks. Skilled in de-escalation, safeguarding, and mental health first aid. Able to guide junior staff through challenging moments. Physically fit, reliable, and proactive. Warm, approachable, and able to build trust through real conversations. Must hold a full UK driving licence. Benefits Working at SuperCare: We'll help you grow your expertise and recognise your skills: Salary 20% above sector average. 36 days of advanced training annually. Fully funded Level 3 Diploma (if not already held). Private healthcare and GP-on-demand. Gym stipend and wellbeing support. Pension and bonus scheme. Free parking and communal cars. Progression pathway into Team Leader roles. Next Steps: Please apply for this role if you're passionate about supporting young people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
