Overview
Rehabilitation Assistant (Neuro) role at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT).
The post is within a multidisciplinary team and you will work alongside Neuro Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and Rehabilitation Assistants. The role involves in-reach to inpatient rehab beds and support for patients in their own homes, delivering neuro rehabilitation to help patients achieve better health, better care and better outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of neuro rehabilitation as in-reach to inpatient rehab beds and with patients in their homes as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Assist patients with physical, cognitive and psychosocial challenges to help them reach their potential.
* Work as part of a MDT to plan and deliver care and participate in ongoing development and service improvement.
* Provide agile, flexible care using virtual consultation to manage caseloads; have access to a smartphone and laptop to support this work.
* Travel independently around the county to meet time deadlines and provide county-wide cover as required.
* Cover across the North of the county and be prepared to travel to other areas depending on service needs.
Requirements
* The post holder must have access to a personal car for independent travel across the work locality.
* Flexibility and adaptability to support service delivery across the organisation.
Training and Development
There is an in-service training programme and an intensive Trust and Local induction. Staff have opportunities to undertake a blended competency package to develop within their profession and role.
