We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Bridgend, supporting pupils aged 3 to 18 with SEN and behavioural needs. About the Role As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other ALN profiles. Your role will involve: Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups across early years, primary, and secondary settings Implementing behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques Helping create inclusive, nurturing learning environments Assisting with classroom activities, transitions, and emotional regulation Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families What We’re Looking For We welcome applicants with experience in education, childcare, youth work, psychology and sport. Ideal candidates will have: Experience working with children or young people with SEN/ALN Knowledge of behaviour management strategies A calm, patient, and empathetic approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for inclusive education Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, or a degree in Psychology, Education or Sport) are desirable but not essential.
