Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: The Sixth Form Bolton
Contract: Part-Time (25 hours/week), Term Time Only, Permanent
Salary: £25,330 – £28,408 per annum (FTE). Actual salary is pro rata.
Start Date: As soon as possibe
We’re looking for an efficient and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join our busy Finance and Payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your finance career in a modern, vibrant sixth form college.
You will support the Head of Finance and Payroll with essential processes, ensuring smooth financial operations for both staff and students. The role suits someone organised, discreet, and proactive.
Key Responsibilities
* Process payments, income and purchase ledger transactions
* Assist with reconciliations and internal reports
* Support budget holders and maintain records
* Liaise professionally with suppliers and stakeholders
* Handle confidential financial data appropriately
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in finance administration (education sector desirable)
* Ability to manage deadlines and large workloads
* Excellent numeracy and attention to detail
* IT skills including Excel, SAGE 200, PRS and Spindle Capture (or similar)
* Professional, discreet, and team-oriented
