Businesses at times come under some pressure, so this position is perfect for someone who can think creatively and maintain a strong discipline about collaborating with clients to find equitable outcomes. As our Collection Manager, you will play a key role in managing, monitoring and developing Treyd's workout and collection process, including ideally being capable of actioning minor steps of legal escalation. Beyond technical skills, you will need initiative and energy to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as credit, operations and customer success, to optimise collection strategies and affect process improvements.

Key responsibilities
1. Engage proactively and intelligently with borrowers to negotiate payment arrangements, restructure lending terms, and wherever possible, to guide and retain the client.
2. Optimise outcomes through escalation and enforcement including, where needed, by driving equitable legal action.
3. Operate with autonomy to "own" the space, but also work closely with the Head of Credit Operations and Collection to ensure consistency in with our mission.
4. Continuously improve and streamline processes in collection and the wider lending business to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Skills & Requirements
5. 4+ years of experience in a collection role, preferably from an alternative lender and/or with a focus on business lending.
6. Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with clients, negotiating payment solutions and solving disputes.
7. Legal and regulatory knowledge of debt recovery processes, insolvency and relevant court actions.
8. Team player with a good ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve collective targets and provide support if needed.
9. An interest in leveraging data and tech to build a better version of business lending.
