Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and maintain Project Quality Plans (PQPs), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures
2. Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, method statements, and applicable standards (ISO 9001, local codes, etc.)
3. Conduct site inspections and audits for MEP and CSA works
4. Coordinate inspections and tests with contractors, vendors, consultants, and client representatives
5. Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation
6. Monitor installation and workmanship quality throughout construction and commissioning phases
7. Manage NCRs, corrective actions, and preventive actions to closure
8. Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) where required
9. Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and handover documentation
10. Participate in project meetings and provide regular quality status reports
Requirements
11. Degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or equivalent
12. Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer on Data Centre or other mission-critical projects
13. Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and data centre standards
14. Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
15. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
16. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
17. Excellent communication and coordination abilities
18. Proficient in QA/QC documentation and reporting tools
Desirable
19. Experience with Tier III / Tier IV data centre projects
20. Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, IEC, IEEE, NFPA
21. Previous experience working with international contractors or hyperscale clients
Day rate offered for this QA/QC Engineer position
22. £450 - £550 per day
