WHAT IS INVOLVED? This is a rare opportunity to join the well-established admin team at Aycliffe Secure Centre, where no two days will be the same. The Home & Education Aligned Administrator provides vital administrative support to Aycliffe Secure Centre, working closely with the education team, managers and external agencies to keep daily operations running smoothly. Key responsibilities include: Managing attendance tasks, welfare calls and education-related admin Preparing accurate minutes for multi-agency meetings and distributing them securely Processing admissions, maintaining records on ClearCare and handling confidential information Managing orders, deliveries, invoices and maintaining efficient filing systems Using a range of IT systems (Microsoft Office, Oracle, ClearCare, eCase) to support the centre’s work We encourage you to contact Lisa Gargett via email at lisa.gargett@durham.gov.uk to arrange an informal discussion about the role. WHAT WILL I NEED? You will bring strong administrative experience, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment supporting both education and residential services. You will need: Solid admin experience with strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Office Confident communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately Strong organisation and time-management skills, able to manage competing deadlines Accurate minute-taking and the ability to produce clear written records NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent), with a proactive and professional approach Please refer to the attached person specification for the full criteria.
