Role Description
This is a full-time position at Detectamet Detectable Products based in Pocklington. The Sales Administrator will support the sales team by handling administrative tasks, maintaining client records, processing orders, and providing exceptional customer service. This entry-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills who is looking to start a career in sales support or administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Process sales orders accurately and in a timely manner
* Maintain and update customer databases and CRM systems.
* Assist with the preparation of sales quotes and proposals.
* Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone.
* Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, finance) to ensure order fulfilment.
* Track inventory and monitor backorders or delays.
* Provide general administrative support to the sales team.
* Schedule meetings and appointments as required.
* Assist in organising sales events or promotional activities.
Requirements
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Comfortable working with CRM systems (training provided)
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic understanding of sales principles is a plus.
