The Deputy Clinical Lead for Primary Care is a critical role that comes with a wide range of responsibilities. Main duties of the job
* Providing Clinical Leadership : work closely with the Clinical Leads. Developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures.
* Overseeing Clinical Staff : overseeing the work of the clinical staff. Providing guidance and support, monitoring performance, and ensuring that all staff members have the necessary training and resources to do their jobs effectively. Ensure that the clinical operations run smoothly and efficiently.
* Managing Business Operations : be involved in the business side of the practice. Work with the Clinical Lead and other members of the leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans, budgeting, and financial management. Ensure that the practice is operating efficiently and effectively.
* Maintaining Compliance : responsible for ensuring that the practice is complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Compliance with clinical, financial, and legal requirements.
* Building Relationships : responsible for building and maintaining relationships with patients, staff, and other healthcare providers. Enhance the reputation of the practice and ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care.

Education, Training and Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Qualification in appropriate profession such as Nursing or Allied Health Professional, and registration with relevant UK governing body.
* Masters Degree level education (e.g post-graduate diploma and experience).
* Membership / Registration of relevant professional body
* Evidence of continuous professional development
Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant clinical experience in relevant professional area
* Extensive relevant experience working at senior management level
* Extensive experience of managing budgets within financial constraints / targets
* Extensive relevant experience of and exposure to performance setting and monitoring Significant experience of line managing staff / teams
* Experience in preparing reports to be presented to senior level stakeholders and committees
* Significant experience of utilisinge PC tools / programmes to manipulate, analyse and present information to be distributed to senior level colleagues
* Previous experience of supervising clinicians and operational leadership functions
Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge of local health economy
* Knowledge of current NHS Framework
* Comprehensive understanding of quality agenda for NHS
* Highly developed clinical knowledge in relevant professional area
* Demonstrable knowledge of governance of financial targets / service delivery
