Were looking for a Project Engineer to join our Critical Power Team. The Project Teams covers UK and Ireland as such there will be a frequent requirement to travel and stay away from home. Job description: Technical Project Delivery: Lead the design, specification, and implementation of temporary and permanent critical power solutions for Data Centres and Utilities clients, ensuring robust uptime and compliance with industry standards. Customer Engagement: Attend customer sites to scope requirements, provide technical support, and deliver solutions that meet the demanding needs of mission-critical environments. System Integration & Commissioning: Oversee the integration of generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and load banks. Manage commissioning and testing for critical power projects. Risk & Compliance Management: Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and ensure all work aligns with QHSE and safety standards. Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical support to Aggreko Service Engineers and customers, including complex fault-finding, root cause analysis, and rapid response to critical incidents. Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in service delivery, reliability, and efficiency of Aggrekos critical power products and solutions. Documentation & Reporting: Produce detailed technical documentation, project reports, and maintain accurate records for compliance and customer assurance. On-Call Support: Participate in a technical on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support for critical power issues. Required profile: HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (Degree preferred), or other relevant technical discipline. Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience. Proven experience in critical power systems for Data Centres and/or Utilities (e.g., generator paralleling, UPS, switchgear, load banks). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to logically fault-find, diagnose, and recommend solutions in high-pressure, uptime-sensitive environments. Commitment to QHSE and continuous improvement. Full UK driving licence. Willingness to travel and participate in an on-call rota.
