About the Role: One of my local government clients is seeking an experienced Tenancy Investigations Officer to support the protection and fair allocation of its social housing stock. In this role, you will conduct in-depth investigations into tenancy fraud, including unlawful subletting, false applications, and fraudulent Right to Buy claims. You’ll be part of a vital team ensuring social housing is preserved for those most in need. Key Responsibilities: * Investigate suspected cases of tenancy fraud across council-owned housing stock. * Gather and analyse evidence from multiple sources to support legal proceedings. * Interview tenants and witnesses in accordance with PACE. * Apply legislation such as CPIA, RIPA, POSHFA, and the Fraud Act. * Work closely with legal teams and other enforcement agencies. * Support legal action to recover properties or prevent fraudulent acquisitions.
