The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant in this type of setting, your responsibilities may include: Providing 1:1 or small group support Assisting pupils with communication, focus and self-regulation Helping students access learning tailored to their cognitive level Supporting emotional wellbeing and confidence-building Working collaboratively with teachers and therapists to meet individual needs Contributing to a calm, structured and nurturing environmentPupils in this environment respond best to patience, empathy and consistency, so a gentle yet confident approach is essential.
