Job Opportunity: Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our children’s residential home team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in residential childcare who is ready to support the Registered Manager in delivering high standards of care and helping young people reach their full potential.
About the role:
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home. You will provide leadership to the staff team, support in implementing care plans, and help create a positive and safe environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
Key responsibilities:
* Support the Registered Manager in achieving compliance with Ofsted standards and regulations
* Lead, mentor, and supervise care staff
* Ensure individualised care plans and risk assessments are followed and reviewed regularly
* Assist in rota management, recruitment, and training
* Act as the responsible person in the absence of the Registered Manager
* Promote safeguarding and child protection throughout the service
* Build positive relationships with children, staff, families, and external agencies
Requirements:
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards it
* At least 2 years' experience in a senior or supervisory role within a children’s residential setting
* Knowledge of Ofsted inspections and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
