Description and requirements

You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in Bedfordshire in where we are responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.
We are currently looking for a Commercial Manager - Highways who will perform commercial management or specialist commercial duties as part of a project team.
As the Commercial Manager, you will:
1. Ensure the scope, notices, terms and conditions of the project are implemented.
2. Lead and develop the contract procedures, payments and variations together with contact entitlements.
3. Fully administrate head contract so Skanska can obtain all of their entitlements and limit contractual risk.
4. Ensure the cost plan/estimate and base data is received and integrated into commercial forecasting and reporting procedures.
5. Lead and develop the strategy for the contracted works and the procurement procedures for the package scope, quantification, tender method, negotiation and subcontract documentation.
We are looking for:
6. Detailed working knowledge of contract/commercial law
7. Previous experience at Commercial Manager level.
8. Experience of working at a commercial capacity within senior management teams
9. MRICS / MCInstCES qualified highly desirable/degree educated in a relevant subject.
10. Previous experience working on major infrastructure contracts desirable.
11. NEC Contract Experience - Specifically NEC 4 Option C Target Cost
