Are you interested in working for an award-winning social care charity?
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) play a vital role within Enable by making a positive difference every day in the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants, but what we can guarantee is that you will support someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes—whatever they may be!
Each person we support has different needs, so your role may include assisting with personal care, moving and handling, or positive behavioural support, while helping expand their social networks and connections.
Enable creates a bespoke team around each individual, and our Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure safety, wellbeing, and aspirations are met.
The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me
The people we support have diverse interests and hobbies and share many dreams and aspirations. They often lack opportunities to pursue these passions. So, whether your interests are sewing, baking, having a cup of tea and chat, horse riding, swimming, or hill-walking, we want to hear from you!
A career with Enable is rewarding and diverse. Personal Assistants who are at their best can truly bring out the best in the people we support.
If you share our values and are committed, dedicated, and eager to support individuals in making the most of life and becoming inclusive members of society, please apply now! Enable needs you to help create an equal society for everyone with a learning disability. You don’t need previous care experience to start your social care career with us. We recruit based on values and transferable skills. Whatever your background, join us to forge a rewarding new path!
Successful applicants will demonstrate:
1. The ability to adapt your communication style to build successful relationships with the people we support.
2. A commitment to work with individuals through their personal support plans to help them achieve their goals and celebrate successes.
3. A positive, flexible attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
If this sounds like you, please click the link to apply now. Every person we support has unique hobbies, interests, likes, and dislikes, which are reflected in our person-centred recruitment process. Please share as much about yourself as possible to help us with our bespoke matching service.
