Core Responsibilities Delivering engaging lessons that integrate performing, composing, and listening across a wide range of genres and cultures. Directing and conducting various ensemble groups, preparing them for high-profile school concerts and community events. Teaching the technical aspects of music technology, enabling students to record and produce their own original compositions. Preparing students for GCSE Music and vocational equivalents, focusing on rigorous preparation for both performance and appraising exams. Managing a varied timetable of peripatetic staff to ensure a seamless integration of individual instrumental lessons into the school day. The Successful Candidate We are seeking a versatile musician and educator who is equally comfortable behind a conductor's baton or a digital mixing desk. Requirements include: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Music or Music Performance. Proficiency in at least one instrument (or voice) and the ability to model high-level performance skills to students. A strong understanding of various music specifications and a commitment to raising academic standards through creative engagement.
