RUNNING ACCOUNT MANAGER
Specialist Sports Limited is a well-established sporting goods agency offering Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Creative solutions to performance sports brands, including world-leading brand adidas.
We are committed to expanding our capabilities as a trusted route to market and solution provider for a growing roster of brands and categories.
The Running Account Manager will join our Running Specialist Team, working with industry-leading products to deliver market-leading standards and ensure an improved customer experience.
The Role
The Running Account Manager will oversee the fulfillment of commitments to wholesale trade accounts and other partners. Responsibilities include:
* Managing a targeted list of Running customers, maximizing revenue from B2B and B2C channels by ensuring timely dispatch, OTIF, and handling daily queries.
* Working with a northern UK account base.
* Growing the Running categories through new and existing customers, proactively developing current relationships and acquiring new business.
* Collaborating with the Category Manager to forecast and control inventory for Running categories and related products.
* Supporting Specialist Sports & retail partners' event/expo activities.
* Partnering with brand coaches for product training, promotional activations, and providing retailers with technical content.
* Managing and developing the Running customer orderbook for timely fulfillment.
* Maintaining the Running database of wholesale & B2B customers, ensuring accuracy and engagement.
* Creating multimedia sell-in tools for the Running categories and maintaining up-to-date product information on the company website.
* Handling general sales inquiries across all media channels and working with the fulfillment team to ensure prompt delivery.
* Performing other duties as delegated by the Category Manager or Sales and Marketing Director.
The ideal candidate should have relevant trade experience and qualifications, an enthusiastic professional approach, and a personal interest in sports, especially running. The role is primarily field-based with regular travel to our Southampton office. We offer flexible working hours, with core hours defined, but hours may vary based on role requirements. The candidate should be capable of understanding customer needs, communicating effectively, and supporting customer success with our products.
