Scientist – Crystallisation Development
Location: Manchester
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Scientist – Crystallisation Development to join a leading organisation at their state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities
*
Design, optimise, and troubleshoot crystallisation, isolation, and drying processes.
*
Support particle formation and solid-state process development for API projects.
*
Apply particle science, scale-up, and PAT technologies to process development activities.
*
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects against timelines.
*
Evaluate and implement new technologies and best practices.
*
Contribute to process harmonisation and continuous improvement initiatives across projects and sites.
Requirements
*
Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD, or equivalent experience) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
*
Experience in crystallisation development, isolation, and drying of small molecule APIs and intermediates.
*
Knowledge of particle characterisation techniques and material property assessment.
*
Experience handling hazardous chemicals in a laboratory environment.
*
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
*
Collaborative and proactive approach, with strong attention to detail.
