Position Summary
Adjunct faculty will teach in person on an as-needed basis for the Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice programs in the Department of Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Sociology. For Fall 2024, duties may include one or more teaching assignments: SOAN 342 – Race and Gender in the United States (Examine contemporary U.S. society from diverse viewpoints. Explore multiple perspectives regarding race and gender. Consider ways Christian faith informs engagement with persons, groups, social issues, and ideas as relates to race and gender.)
Responsibilities
General: Prepare lesson plans, quizzes, exams: teach course material, provide feedback and grades throughout the semester. Ability to teach in-person course; Canvas LMS is beneficial. Specific to the class taught; will be communicated on an individual basis.
Qualifications
Professional expertise. Relevant doctorate is preferred but not required. Teaching experience preferred. Candidate should have a commitment to excellence in teaching in a Christian Liberal Arts setting.
