Key Responsibilities: The role of Support Worker with The Salvation Army is an inspirational one and key to achieving successful outcomes for clients and their children. As a motivated and dynamic Support Worker you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality programme of support to women from a trauma informed perspective. You will address clients support needs, enable them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower families to lead more sustainable lifestyles. The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate: Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes Good customer service and time management skills with ability to prioritise workload Improve standards by demonstrating own initiative towards problem solving which help benefit colleagues and clients Able to design, promote and lead activities/group sessions Level 3 qualification Experience of working with vulnerable adults in a residential setting essential Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in range of IT Packages including Microsoft Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a culture of continuous improvement within the service and evidence of commitment to continuous professional development Understand a personal value base which is in line with core values of the organisation and able to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army Demonstrate values of integrity and accountability within working practice Knowledge of welfare benefits and homelessness Work shifts, unsociable hours - flexible approach to hours worked as required This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be female In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.
