Aspire People is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Milton Keynes seeking a confident, skilled HLTA to join their team from September 2025. Whether you're a qualified HLTA or an experienced TA ready for the next step, this role offers the chance to lead, support, and inspire young learners across the school.
About the Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide targeted classroom support across Key Stage 1 and/or 2
Take responsibility for leading small group interventions and occasionally delivering whole-class lessons under teacher direction
Support teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment activities
Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive
Use initiative to manage behaviour, support learning, and adapt to the needs of individual pupils
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to support academic and social development
Uphold school safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety procedures at all times
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold HLTA status or demonstrate equivalent experience and readiness to lead learning
Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and a passion for working with children
Be proactive, adaptable, and confident managing classroom responsibilities
Be committed to supporting pupil wellbeing and progress, both academically and socially
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and work well within a team
Be resilient, positive, and ready to make a meaningful contribution to school life
